The court fined Davit Kirtadze, the representative of the "National Movement" in the CEC, with 500 GEL for pouring black paint on CEC Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili. The decision was made by judge Davit Tsekvava.
As the lawyer states, in this case it was not possible to correctly determine the actions for which Davit Kirtadze should be held accountable.
"In this case, it was not possible to correctly determine what actions Mr. Davit was responsible for, because he is accused of interfering in the activities and functions of the Central Election Commission, when he himself is a member of the collegial administrative body. The representatives of the CEC could not specifically name what was the action by which Davit Kirtadze interfered with the CEC's functions and the resolution," said lawyer Ivane Petriashvili.
For information, on November 16, at the session of the Central Election Commission, the representative of the "National Movement", Davit Kirtadze, painted black paint on the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Giorgi Kalandarishvili. At the same session, the CEC approved the summary minutes of the elections.
Based on the appeal of the Central Election Commission, the Ministry of Internal Affairs started an investigation under Article 118 of the Criminal Law Code, which refers to intentional less severe damage to health.
