Expressing a mass protest is something for which the opposition should prepare peaks, and this peak will certainly be the first meeting of the parliament, Giorgi Margvelashvili, one of the leaders of "Strong Georgia", said about this.
As he mentioned in the "360 Degrees" program of "PalitraNews", the continuous protests prepared the society for optimism.
"There will definitely be a peak. How the deputation sneaking out of the underground governs Georgia is a separate topic. I think that until November 25 the situation is still to be determined. These days have prepared society for optimism. Slowly more and more social groups move from depression to action. Peak days are very important. Whether it is 25 or some other number, it must be at its peak. We have to believe every day that we will win, but we should not create false expectations," Margvelashvili said.
According to his own assessment, the continuous demonstrations held by the opposition in the streets of Tbilisi was a successful step. In addition, according to Margvelashvili, the protest "dropped nihilism and disappointment".
"In my opinion, the rallies were a very successful step taken by the politicians, especially by the "Coalition for Change". They took steps and achieved results. Today, two important political goals are to be achieved: the opposition's clear entry into the parliament, which will make it even clearer that this is Soviet Georgia under the leadership of the Communist Party, and the second goal is that we manage to overcome nihilism and disappointment. The rallies that took place were an indicator of this. These actions caused nihilism, disappointment, and depression," Margvelashvili said.
Regarding the issue of closing the parliamentary mandates and lists, Margvelashvili noted that the opposition failed to make the closing of the lists an impressive step.
According to him, the four parties that crossed the barrier said the same thing in different languages and rhetoric, but it was not clear and impressive to the voters.
"In the biography of a politician, not entering the parliament and refusing to be a deputy is the most serious step. As we can see, this step is confirmed by all four opposition parties, although it failed to be a very impressive step. In fact, four political entities said the same thing in four different languages or rhetoric, but it was not clear and impressive to the voters. In my opinion, "National Movement" said this most clearly, if it was "Coalition for Change, I don't remember. It should be clear to voters that these political parties have taken a very bold, serious step. However, all this happened from a PR point of view, it caused some confusion, it is not a big tragedy, because all this will be revealed very soon", said Margvelashvili.
