The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, congratulates Kaja Kallas on her appointment as the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

"In the background of geopolitical challenges, another female leader, a dear friend of Georgia and a supporter of our European path, as the new high representative of the European Union in matters of foreign affairs and security policy, is inspiring," wrote Salome Zurabishvili on social platform X.

"I congratulate Kaja Kallas for bringing fresh perspectives and strong leadership to navigate the complex international landscape," the president wrote.

In addition, Salome Zurabishvili congratulates Marta Kos on her appointment to the post of European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement.

"I congratulate Marta Kos on her appointment as European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement. A crucial role for the future of the European Union at a crucial moment when Georgians are fighting to protect their European voice. We wish him success in moving forward with integration.
