I hope that the representatives of the opposition parties will receive a temporary certificate of a member of parliament and go through registration, attend the first session - they are threatening many, but we will see who will write a statement about renouncing their mandates after the recognition of their powers, - the Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists about this.
According to him, the registration of members for the first session of the Parliament has already begun.
“The registration of the already elected members of parliament for the first session has begun. Once again, we would like to remind you that registration is carried out on the basis of a temporary certificate of a member of parliament issued by the CEC. As far as I know, so far, the representatives of the opposition have not received these documents from the CEC, but I hope that they will apply, receive this document and go through registration, attend the first session of the Parliament, we see their absences. Even today, we saw how one of the party members called himself an “elected MP”. So, these Freudian slips come to them very often, let's see, they threaten many, but we will see who will write a statement about renouncing their mandates after the parliament recognizes its authority.
As for the parliament and the configuration of the parliament, see that the Prime Minister has presented the new composition of the government, which will be presented to the parliament. See our colleagues who will lead various ministries. From this you can assume that there will be certain changes regarding the chairmen of the committees.
I welcome all three personnel decisions. Our colleagues, who have been on the front lines in these areas for years, will strengthen both the ministries and these directions. So, I would like to congratulate them on their nomination. "The parliament is ready to discuss the composition of the government and approve the new government this week," Shalva Papuashvili said.
