Mikheil Saakashvili: I want to tell those people who do not want to mention my name - if I were in the streets of Tbilisi with you today, the fight would have been much stronger, the dictator knows this and that's why I am in prison

I want to tell people who do not want to mention my name. Let's not rewrite history. If I were today in the streets of Tbilisi with you, this fight would be much stronger. This dictator also knows this and that's why he's hiding me in prison, he won't let me near you, - the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, said about this in the Tbilisi City Court, during the trial of the November 7 case, from the clinic "Vivamed".

As Saakashvili said, a dictatorship was established in Georgia.

"Today, the mafia regime runs another shield in this court. It is very ironic that I am being prosecuted for breaking up the rally, when after that I resigned, went to the elections, only after that I returned to the presidential palace.

Today I am being tried for breaking up a rally many years ago, during which no one was killed. Now, there is a huge squad of policemen standing on Rustaveli, ready to tear down the citizens. Intimidated, aggressive...if there is anything called excessive force, it is the number of so-called police officers that are represented.

Georgia no longer has a police force, Georgia does not have a law enforcement system, Georgia does not have a government, but has a self-styled government, a dictatorship has been established in Georgia. No authoritarianism, no deviation, classic dictatorship established! Your generation failed to prevent this dictator from becoming entrenched.

Today, whatever this so-called legislature passes, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what they press their finger, what statements they make. I know one thing, the Georgian people will not get used to the dictatorship. Dictatorship cannot and will not be established in Georgia. I firmly believe that we are not Belarusians, Venezuelans, we can fight for our rights. My philosophy was based on strengthening the citizens of Georgia. I want to tell people who are afraid to mention my name. Let's not rewrite history. If I were today in the streets of Tbilisi with you, this fight would be much stronger. This dictator also knows this and that's why he's hiding in prison, that's why he won't let me near you," Saakashvili said.

Michał Kobosko - we hope that your government eventually would either choose the European way, the democratic way or would resign seeing the number, the size and scale of the citizens' protests
