Giorgi Vashadze: You will never be able to silence the Georgian people - it's a shame when people are peacefully standing outside and you sneak into this building

We will fight until the end, Georgia will definitely win - you are a shame for this country and it is a shame when people are standing peacefully outside and despite this, you sneak into this building, - said Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of "Unity - National Movement", at the current rally in front of the Parliament of Georgia, addressing to Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chairman of "Georgian Dream".

According to him, now "self-proclaimed deputies have sneaked into the parliament".

As Vashadze noted, "Georgian Dream" tried many times to get someone "to join the parliament, but today they did not succeed."

"Self-proclaimed deputies have sneaked into the parliament and are implementing certain procedures now. We will try to show on the screen the process that goes inside. Our way of fighting will definitely end in victory.

Whatever happens beyond this building will have no legitimacy. None of the members of the opposition is present at this session, thus each of them confirms that this parliament has no legitimacy and will never have it. "Georgian Dream" tried many times to get someone into the parliament, but today it failed. Therefore, I pledge to you once again that as soon as I have the opportunity to do so, I will appeal to Parliament to completely withdraw our contact with this illegitimate, self-styled system that is here. "Strength is in unity and we will definitely win," said Vashadze.

During his speech, the opposition politician addressed the honorary chairman of "Georgian Dream" Bidzina Ivanishvili and said that he will never be able to silence the Georgian people.

"Bidzina Ivanishvili, who is there [in the parliament], now hears the voice of the people. We will fight until the end, Georgia will definitely win. You will never be able to silence the Georgian people. Georgia will be a united, strong and democratic state. A state that will go forward and never go back. You are a shame to this country and it is a shame when people are standing peacefully outside and yet you sneak into this building. You want to declare the results of a stolen, rewritten election as legitimate. No, and it will never happen.

The victory will be ours", said Giorgi Vashadze.

At the end of the speech, Vashadze noted that they will not retreat, they will continue protesting and the time will come when they will win.

For information, the first session of the Parliament of the XI convocation has started.

Only the members elected by the list of the "Georgian Dream" party are present in the session hall, among them Bidzina Ivanishvili, number one on the list, is present at the session.

At the same time as the meeting, a protest action is taking place on Rustaveli Avenue.
