The date of the presidential election should be set by the Parliament of Georgia today. Shalva Papuashvili spoke to journalists yesterday about the above and said that it is important that the election and inauguration of the President take place this year.

"There are certain circumstances that are important to consider. We should elect a President for a 5-year term. Accordingly, in order to be the elected President for 5 years, it is important that the elections and the inauguration are held this year," Papuashvili said.
