Nino Lomjaria: I came to the court with a lot of evidence

Nino Lomjaria, a representative of the monitoring mission "My Voice", former public defender, is questioned before the magistrate judge in the Tbilisi City Court.

She is testifying as part of the investigation into possible election fraud.

As Lomjaria said before the inquiry, she came to the court with concrete evidence.

"The prosecutor's office started an investigation based on the appeal of the CEC. Despite the fact that in the pre-election period, as well as on the day of the election and in the period after, a lot of information was spread from our side about the facts containing the crime, the prosecutor's office did not start an investigation on these facts. The investigation was started based on the appeal of the CEC. I was called to the survey today, of course, I expected it and I wanted to participate in this survey, because we came here with a lot of evidence and we are going to talk one by one about all the information that confirms our statements and assessments. The case concerns not only the evidence surrounding the article, around which the investigation has been started, but also information about the violation of a number of criminal law norms, including influencing the will of the voter, illegally obtaining and processing the voter's personal data, violating the secrecy of the voter's choice, bribing the voter and A.S. We also have specific information that contains information on the abuse or abuse of authority by CEC members and election administrations. We have a lot of evidence to help the prosecutor's office investigate this case, if I were in the place of the prosecutor's office, I would be very grateful to the monitoring organizations, because we will make it much easier for them to investigate this case, we have so much evidence. Due to the fact that we live in authoritarianism, where there are no independent state institutions, for example, yesterday the CEC combined the function of the parliament, against the law, it set the terms of the election of the president, which is against the law, it is a departure from the constitutional and legal framework, therefore, at such a time, when there is complete arbitrariness, Of course, we do not have special, positive expectations," said Lomjaria.

According to her, they started preparing to give specific evidence to the "technical mission" of the European Union.

"We are preparing to meet the "technical mission" of the European Union. We hope they will make an objective assessment, because we will also provide them with all this information and evidence," said Lomjaria.

For information, Lomjaria initially refused to be interviewed by the prosecutor's office; she requested to be interviewed by a magistrate judge. Nino Lomjaria will be the third representative of the observation mission "My Voice" who will be questioned by the Prosecutor's Office regarding possible election fraud. Before that, representatives of the observation mission "My Voice" were present at the survey: Londa Toloraia and Tato Kelbakiani.
