Georgia has entered the final stage of the destruction of statehood, - this is how the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, evaluates the nomination of Mikheil Kavelashvili as a presidential candidate by "Georgian Dream".

As Saakashvili writes on his Facebook page, the purpose of this is to lower the self-esteem of the Georgian people as much as possible.

"The last such incident occurred in the Roman Empire when Caligula appointed his horse to the Senate. The purpose of this is to lower the self-esteem of the Georgian people as much as possible," Saakashvili wrote on the social network.

"Georgian Dream" nominated Mikheil Kavelashvili for the position of the sixth president of Georgia.

The sixth President of Georgia will be elected for the first time, indirectly, by an electoral college consisting of 300 members. Presidential elections will be held on December 14.
