Love of the motherland, loyalty and understanding of elementary competences do not require a diploma - Mikheil Kavelashvili is more educated than many even without a diploma! If our presidents had two diplomas, what did they do useful for the country?! - Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the majority of "Georgian Dream" made this statement to the media.
When asked if there is a problem that the future President Mikheil Kavelashvili will not have a diploma, Mdinaradze said that this is not a problem either formally or in reality.
As Mdinaradze mentioned, the constitution of many countries does not mention the diploma among the issues related to the censure of the members of the Parliament and the President.
"Doesn't that mean something? If we do not ask for a diploma from the members of the Parliament and the President, this has its basis and it is not only in the Constitution of Georgia.
A request for a master's degree can be written in the certificate of the deputy head of the department, but it is not written in relation to the president and the member of the parliament - this is a democratic achievement. A member of parliament may not need a diploma, but rather be public, loyal to the country and professional." Mamuka Mdinaradze said.
