The European Parliament will adopt a resolution on Georgia today

On November 28, the European Parliament will adopt an important resolution that will discuss the importance of holding new elections - as the MEPs have already noted, there will be a kind of red line beyond which it will be impossible to restore relations between the Georgian Dream and the European Union, - said Tina Bokuchava, the chairwoman of the United National Movement.

According to Bokuchava, “We can only bring Georgia out of international isolation through new elections.”

“We continue to meet with MEPs. Yesterday, we met with many MEPs who see that the October 26 elections did not reflect the free will of the Georgian people. On November 28, they will adopt a very important resolution that will discuss the importance of holding new elections. Also, there will be another call on the Georgian government to release President Mikheil Saakashvili, because it is unacceptable for a country with European aspirations to have a political prisoner in the form of President Mikheil Saakashvili. This resolution, as the MEPs have already noted, will be a kind of red line beyond which it is impossible to restore relations between the Georgian Dream and the European Union. This is the moment when we can bring Georgia out of international isolation only through new elections," said Tina Bokuchava.
