Salome Zurabishvili: An illegitimate Parliament can not elect a new President, therefore, there will be no inauguration and my mandate will continue until there is a legitimately elected parliament - I remain as your President!

In order to serve you, tomorrow society and political parties will gather and together we will manage the political part of the process - with me will be those people whom I invited and with whom I will lead this political process, - the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, noted this in her address.

According to her, the illegitimate parliament will not be able to elect a new President, therefore, she remains the President of Georgia!

“In order to serve you, tomorrow society and political parties will gather and together we will manage the political part of the process, which you manage outside, manage on the streets and manage everywhere, in various spheres of this society. We will do the job together! Together we will represent the future that we will achieve very soon with new elections. A new Georgia will regain its European path, its independence and, most importantly, its free path of development, which we will not give up to anyone. Tomorrow we will meet again. Tomorrow, I will be with those people whom I invited and with whom I will lead this political process. I remain as your President. There is no legitimate parliament, therefore, an illegitimate parliament can not elect a new President; therefore, there will be no inauguration and my mandate will continue until there is a legitimately elected parliament, which will legitimately elect the one who will replace me. But I am with you and I will be!” - stated the President of Georgia.
