The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, responds to the arrests made in the country and calls on the partners of Georgia to put pressure on the ruling party.

"Repression in Georgia - I urgently call on our partners and those who want to prevent the deepening of the crisis and instability, it's time to put strong pressure on the ruling party that is throwing the country on the rocks! Don't be late," the President wrote on the social platform X.

"Political leaders being chased by repressive forces, the party headquarters opposes search and seizure operations, the offices of young protesters are being searched, the prime minister calls it 'prevention'," the president wrote.

For information, today the police searched the apartments of activists and the offices of political parties. More specifically, investigative activities were conducted in the offices of "Unity of the National Movement", "Coalition for Change" and "Droa". They also searched the "abandoned" apartment of one of the founders, Ilia Ghlonti. In addition, at the office of "Droa", at the same time as the search, the leader of "Coalition for Change" Nika Gvaramia and member of the coalition Gela Khasaia were arrested. A member of the "Dafioni" movement, Zviad Tsetskhladze, was also arrested. Also, the law enforcement officers arrested two members of "Strong Georgia". Several members of the "Unity National Movement" youth organization have been detained.
