We will continue to work with our Western partners in order to apply sanctions to the oligarch Ivanishvili's regime and those criminals who systematically used brute force against every citizen - we will work to ensure that Ivanishvili's regime is punished, not the citizens of Georgia - the member of "Gakhara for Georgia", Teona Akubardia, said about this.
According to her, legal protection of civil servants will be a part of the opposition's legal activities.
"I would like to say a big thank you to all civil servants who are standing guard over the Constitution of Georgia today. The resistance of civil servants and protection of the constitution continues. Yesterday's statements served to protect the constitution. We will do everything to ensure that the legal rights of civil servants are not violated by usurping authorities. That is why the legal protection of civil servants will be part of our important legal activities, which we have already started. It is very important the support that every citizen of Georgia has from the West, who wants a European future and democracy in Georgia. The West very clearly sees the use of authoritarian methods, which became even worse after yesterday's events, when they started breaking into apartments and started searching them in the presence of minors, absolutely illegally. Therefore, the application of sanctions that we heard from the US side is another unmistakable support that the West stands by the citizens of Georgia. It is the Western, European family that we choose. We will continue to work with our Western partners, as we have done so far, to apply sanctions to the regime of oligarch Ivanishvili and those criminals who systematically used brute force against every citizen. It would be hard for me to call it a police force. Of course, we will work so that not the citizens of Georgia, but Ivanishvili's regime is punished. This will be our important task in the work that involves returning Georgia to the constitutional space", said Teona Akubardia.
