The two-week non-stop protest of the Georgian people inside and outside the country has already yielded results - we have seen the official application of the European Union, where the illegal parliament and government are not recognized, but are referred to as Ivanishvili's dream, - the member of the party "Gakharia for Georgia", Teona Aqubardia, told the joint meeting of 4 barrier-crossing parties. She said at the briefing, thereby following the statements of Anitta Hipper, the spokesperson of the European Union responded to the developments in Georgia.
As Akubardia explains, it is important that we hear the call to "stop the torture and inhumane treatment that Ivanishvili's black squads carried out against the Georgian people."
"The continuous two-week protest of the Georgian people, on the one hand, inside the country, and on the other hand, outside the country in European cities, has already produced results, for which I want to thank each of them. We have seen the official application of the European Union, where an illegal parliament and an illegal government are not recognized. It is mentioned as Ivanishvili's dream, the power that tortures, represses and terrorizes its own people. Our common demand for the release of illegal prisoners is also mentioned in the joint statement of the European Union. This is our important support. The main and important thing is that it is called to stop the torture and inhumane treatment that Ivanishvili's black squads have been carrying out against the Georgian people during these days. This once again shows the EU's support for the Georgian people's struggle to protect Georgia's democracy and European future. Therefore, the mentioned sanctions directly addressed to the creators of the regime and the perpetrators of repression are the important support and message that we expect from the capitals of the European Union.
Once again, I would like to express our support to those civil servants who today are being confronted by Ivanishvili's repression machine with intimidation, terror and threats of dismissal", said Teona Aqubardia.
