Mikheil Saakashvili: Only new elections will relieve a very deep crisis - hostages are used by the oligarch for trade - I am sure that in the near future all detainees will be released, but we should not be fooled by this

Only new elections will alleviate a very deep crisis, - this is stated in the statement of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, which was published on his official "Facebook" page.

According to Mikheil Saakashvili, the government may release people arrested during the demonstrations, but if nothing changes, they will arrest even more people in the future.

"I completely agree with Nika Gvaramia and others that only new elections will relieve a very deep crisis.

Of course, the release of detainees is important, but the oligarch uses these hostages for trade, releases them now and, if nothing changes, will capture even more in the future.

That's why I'm sure that in the near future all the detainees will be released, but we shouldn't be fooled by this," writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
