Mamuka Khazaradze: We urge the population to remain calm and not to fall for the provocation planned by Ivanishvili, which could potentially lead to civil confrontation

Mamuka Khazaradze, one of the leaders of "Strength of Georgia," urges the population to remain calm and not to fall for the provocation planned by Ivanishvili, which could potentially lead to civil confrontation.

As Khazaradze writes on his Facebook page, the fact that the government did not cancel the planned event on Rustaveli Avenue indicates that they are "deliberately setting up a provocation."

"The announced Christmas tree event today contains elements of provocation. While hundreds of thousands of citizens have been protesting the illegitimate government’s hijacked elections for the 16th day on Rustaveli, today’s event may become a cause of tension and civil confrontation.

In a place where peaceful protesters were recently mutilated, beaten, and poisoned with gas, where the air is still thick with the smell of gas, it is immoral to organize a celebration. The city has many squares and parks where such events could be held.

If you do not cancel this event, it means you are deliberately setting up a provocation, as you yourself announced a few days ago through the State Security Service.

We urge the population to remain calm and not to fall for Ivanishvili's planned provocation, which could lead to civil confrontation. Ivanishvili and his puppet government will bear full responsibility for it," Khazaradze writes.
