They express concern over the ongoing political crisis, including the suspension of Georgia’s EU integration talks, the violent repression of protests, and the planned election of Mikheil Kavelashvili as president, which they consider illegitimate. The opposition parties emphasize the need for new, free, and fair elections, with reforms to the electoral system and the independence of key state institutions.

In their appeal, the opposition demands:

• Immediate and unconditional release of all detained politicians, activists, and peaceful protesters.
• Targeted sanctions against those responsible for anti-democratic actions, including Ivanishvili and his associates.
• Suspension of visa-free travel for officials connected to the illegitimate government of the "Georgian Dream" party.
• A public denunciation of the violence against peaceful protesters, journalists, and activists.
• The suspension of diplomatic contact with the current regime until they agree to hold new, free, and fair elections.

The statement concludes by urging the EU to show strong support for Georgia’s democratic future, as the Georgian people continue to resist Russian-backed authoritarianism.
