Grigory Karasin: It is difficult to say what motivates Salome Zurabishvili. Be that as it may, she has managed to bring the 'emotion machine' into the streets of Tbilisi for a certain period, but the clock is relentlessly counting the minutes of her power and popularity

Head of the Russian Federation Council’s Committee on International Affairs, Grigory Karasin, has commented on Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili's decision not to step down from her position.

"The phenomenon of Zurabishvili in Georgia is gaining momentum. Now, this once-charming woman refuses to leave the presidential palace even in the event of losing the elections. It is difficult to say what motivates Salome. Perhaps her goal is to create the image of an uncompromising figure and go down in history as a symbol of relentless pursuit of Western values at any cost," Karasin wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, Salome Zurabishvili has managed to bring the "emotion machine" to the streets of Tbilisi for a certain period.

"Be that as it may, she has managed to bring the 'emotion machine' to the streets of Tbilisi for a while, but the golden rule of moderation applies to everyone, and the clock relentlessly counts the minutes of power and popularity," Karasin added.
