According to the President, one year after Georgia was granted EU candidate status, the "one-party rulers" have taken every possible step to abolish the path toward the EU.

"On December 14, 2023, Georgia was granted EU candidate status. In one year, the one-party rulers have taken every possible step to cancel the EU path entirely. Law by law, Georgia is turning into Russia. But Georgians will not surrender!" wrote President Salome Zurabishvili.
