This is an attack on the Georgian people and their government, which is absolutely unacceptable - we have been observing for a long time that the governments of these two countries act on the instructions of others, and their specific attacks on the Georgian people are too obvious, - the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists.
According to him, it is heartbreaking that the governments, against the will of the Lithuanian and Estonian people, are attacking the Georgian people.
“Of course, this is an attack on the Georgian people and their government, which is absolutely unacceptable. However, it is understandable, we have been observing for a long time that the governments of these two countries act at the behest of others, and their specific attacks on the Georgian people are too obvious, which is unfortunate, since we have had traditionally friendly relations with the Lithuanian and Estonian people, which is also due to the historical past. Therefore, it is heartbreaking that the authorities are attacking the Georgian people against the will of the Lithuanian and Estonian people.
We saw that the Lithuanian and Estonian authorities were involved, including in the pre-election process, we saw them on the streets of Tbilisi, when they participated in the rallies of the radical opposition. I immediately said that they were not serious people who could achieve only one thing - they cannot harm us, although they could harm the relations between our peoples.
Today we saw the statement of the Georgian government that we will not indulge in such vile provocations. We will remain in the friendly relations that we deserve towards the Estonian and Lithuanian people,” said Shalva Papuashvili.
Speaking on the same topic, the Chairman of the Parliament noted that the list published yesterday is identical to the list published by the President of Ukraine.
“We saw the same from the Ukrainian authorities. The list that was published yesterday is identical to the list published by the President of Ukraine. Overall, here too, the common hand that governs these authorities is visible. There is a common handwriting - they are already making the same lists. That is, they have not formed their own opinion even in this regard. It is simply that all this is being governed by one hand, with copy-paste. We have been in this relationship with the Ukrainian authorities for a long time. They are attacking the Georgian people against the will of their own people. We maintain friendly relations with the Ukrainian people after all the processes that the Ukrainian authorities have carried out against the Georgian people. After that, we also accepted Ukrainian children, we have not suspended humanitarian aid, nor have we suspended assistance to the Ukrainian people in international organizations. The authorities are changing, they will change in Ukraine, Lithuania and Estonia as well. Ultimately, all these people will understand that the Georgian authorities are acting in the common interests of our peoples,” Papuashvili said.
