Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declared that the radical opposition no longer has the capacity to mobilize significant numbers of people, stating that their violent resources have been nullified.
“They cannot gather more than 800 people. It’s over! Finita la commedia, as the Italians say,” Kobakhidze told journalists.
According to the Prime Minister, the fourth attempt at revolution has been successfully thwarted by the ruling Georgian Dream party.
“Everything is finished. The radical opposition's violent resources are at zero, and they cannot bring out more than 800 people. It’s over! We have already disrupted the fourth attempt at revolution.
Four political parties and over ten of the wealthiest NGOs—800 people in total. Even if you count only their staff and activists, that alone exceeds 800 people, yet these four parties and more than ten well-funded NGOs couldn’t gather more than 800 on Rustaveli Avenue.
It’s over. Finita la commedia, as the Italians say,” Kobakhidze emphasized.
