David Matikashvili: Salome Zurabishvili's recent efforts are her final attempt to amplify negative narratives about her country and homeland. He implied that her actions are aimed at increasing the negative context surrounding Georgia, further distancing her from the national cause

Davit Matikashvili, the chairman of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, commented on President Salome Zurabishvili’s recent speech in the European Parliament, stating that she is no longer relevant. According to Matikashvili, Zurabishvili's actions represent her last attempt to increase the negative context surrounding her country and homeland. He criticized her efforts to harm Georgia, noting that nothing surprising is expected from her, as she has already done much damage in this regard.

Matikashvili also pointed out the contrast between Zurabishvili’s actions and the actual reality of Georgia's situation, where the Secretary General of the Council of Europe is visiting and meeting with official representatives of the country. He emphasized that there is no longer any issue regarding the legitimacy of the president, despite the radical opposition's attempts to challenge it with Zurabishvili. Matikashvili referred to this period as the "last phase of radicalism," suggesting that both Zurabishvili's speech and the behavior of radical groups in Georgia will eventually fade. He expressed confidence that the country will transition into a peaceful situation and enter the New Year on a positive note.
