Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged European leaders to exert pressure on Bidzina Ivanishvili and his "friends." The President of Ukraine made this statement during the European Council meeting in Brussels.
According to Zelenskyy, a "Russian-controlled mafia" is operating in Georgia.
"Unfortunately, a Russian-controlled mafia in Georgia is working to draw the country into Putin's sphere of influence and divert it from its European path. The government in Tbilisi refuses to cooperate with the European Union," Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian President called on European leaders to pressure, particularly "oligarch" Bidzina Ivanishvili and his "friends," to prevent them from benefiting from Georgia's stolen European future and its lost decades of progress.
"We cannot afford to lose any country in Europe, as losing even one brings us closer to division and conflict," Zelenskyy stated.
