Irakli Kobakhidze: If someone substantiates that there is something negative in the Law on Transparency, of course, we are ready to discuss these issues

If someone substantiates that there is something negative in the Law on Transparency, of course, we are ready to discuss these issues, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at the briefing held today.

According to him, at the meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, the government once again expressed its openness towards discussions on this issue.

“We had discussions on legislation, including discussions on the Law on Transparency. We once again expressed our openness towards discussions. We are open to discussions. We had such openness during the process of adopting the law, and even after its adoption. We say once again that if someone substantiates that there is something negative in this law, of course, we are ready to discuss these issues, and we ready for a cooperation with the relevant structures of the Council of Europe," Kobakhidze said.
