Irakli Kobakhidze: We will have a dialogue with the leaders of the 4 parties in the coming weeks - our opposition, the 4 radical parties, are actually secondary forces, they have their own masters and we prefer to hold a dialogue with them

They should substantiate where the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence violates legal principles - if they substantiate such a thing, of course, we are ready for revision, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to him, the messages of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, and his own regarding this topic are in line.

"In principle, I think our messages do not differ. We say once again that we are open to discussion in any format. If a specific format is created, proposed, among others, by the Council of Europe, of course, we are open. There is complete concordance between our messages in this regard.

As for the revision of the law, there is one main thing. They should substantiate where the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence violates legal principles. If they substantiate such a thing, of course, we are ready for revision. In practice, we are repeating what Mr. Berset says," Kobakhidze said.

As for the question of what topics the Georgian Dream is ready for dialogue with its opponents, the Prime Minister noted that "I do not think that dialogue with secondary forces makes any sense."

"I do not think that dialogue with secondary forces makes any sense. In general, dialogue is important, but our opposition, these four radical parties, are actually secondary forces. They have their own masters and we, of course, prefer to conduct a dialogue with these masters, to which there is no alternative. We will definitely have a dialogue with the leaders of these four political parties in the coming weeks.

Among other things, we talked about the "deep state" and things like that. We very much hope that the situation will change by the end of the month. It will not be easy, of course, it will not be easy for Donald Trump to defeat the "deep state." "If he can defeat it, then dialogue may no longer be necessary and justice will be easily restored. Let's see how things develop," Kobakhidze said.
