Irakli Kobakhidze: Overall, the OSCE/ODIHR report shows that the elections were free and competitive - this can be read from the general content of the report

According to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the OSCE/ODIHR report shows that the parliamentary elections were free and competitive.

As the Prime Minister stated at the briefing, today's conclusion report the conclusion that OSCE/ODIHR published after the elections.

According to Kobakhidze, attacks on OSCE/ODIHR from the opposition are now expected.

"Overall, the OSCE/ODIHR report shows that the elections were free and competitive. This can be read from the general content of the OSCE/ODIHR report. I would like to thank OSCE/ODIHR. You saw the harsh reaction of the opposition to the visit of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe to Georgia, you saw the aggressive attacks against Alain Berset. We expect such an aggressive attack on the OSCE/ODIHR too. This report repeats the conclusion that was presented after the elections and then this report caused great irritation in the radical opposition, of course, we expect the same irritation in this case as well.

Of course, we are ready to work with the OSCE/ODIHR, this conclusion also presents specific recommendations and we are ready to work together to properly discuss all recommendations and accordingly take into account all recommendations, where this is considered appropriate,” Kobakhidze said.
