The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, will join the rally in front of the Parliament today and will deliver a speech at 9:00 PM.
As she stated at the briefing on Saturday, everyone must once again state that new elections are the demand of the entire country.
In addition, more than a dozen protest activities and marches are planned throughout the capital today. The protest in front of the Parliament is traditionally scheduled for 19:00.
Today is the 25th day that citizens have been holding protests. The protesters are demanding the release of citizens detained during the protests and the appointment of new elections. The large-scale protest was triggered by the decision of the Georgian Dream on November 28, according to which Georgia will not put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028.
