Tea Zakaradze: I cannot interfere in politics, but I will say this: the country and our business - aviation - need peace and stability. If new elections are the solution for this, then this step must be taken

The country and our business—aviation—need peace and stability. If new elections are the solution, then this step must be taken. We will definitely use this platform to express the business sector's opinion," said Tea Zakaradze, General Manager of "TAV Georgia", the operator of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, ahead of a meeting with the Prime Minister.

According to her, if the current developments in the country continue, they will inevitably impact businesses in January and February.

"Our position is that the government must take the necessary steps to calm everyone down. If it requires a compromise, then that step must also be taken.

I can only say that we, the airport, need stability in the country. We will certainly use this platform to express the business sector's opinion. You know we will express it, right? These developments directly affect businesses. Aside from me, there are 80-100 others, and if I get the opportunity to voice my opinion, I will definitely do so.

I cannot interfere in politics, but I will say that the country and our business—aviation—need peace and stability. If new elections are the solution, then this step must be taken.

If things continue like this, businesses will definitely feel the impact by January or February," Zakaradze stated.

For reference, the Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, is meeting with representatives of the business sector at the government administration building.
