Irakli Kobakhidze: It's a done deal – the Parliament is established, the government is formed, and the President's inauguration will take place in three days

"The issues mentioned in the OSCE-ODIHR report can be found in election reports for any country, so there is no basis for concern. It's a done deal – the Parliament is established, the government is formed, and the President's inauguration will take place in three days," said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

According to the Prime Minister, the opposition has effectively recognized the legitimacy of the elections by not refusing to accept state funding.

"The issues raised in the OSCE-ODIHR report are similar to those found in reports about elections in any other country. Therefore, there is no basis for claims otherwise. It’s a done deal – the Parliament is established, the government is formed, and the President’s inauguration will take place in three days. Everything is settled, and they understand this very well. They can no longer even gather 1,000 people daily. This is the reality today.

Taking this into account, they might catch up to us in February in the Georgian Parliament. Today, they have already recognized the legitimacy of the elections by not refusing state funding. If you don’t recognize the results, how can you accept funding based on those results? When faced with tangible benefits, they immediately acknowledged the elections. Of course, this process will continue," the Prime Minister stated on Imedi TV.
