"He couldn't fix it! He is losing what matters most to him—money!" This is how Nika Melia, one of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change," responds to the U.S. sanctions imposed on Bidzina Ivanishvili, honorary chairman of "Georgian Dream."
In a social media post, Melia emphasizes that for Ivanishvili, money is the guarantee of his political, social, and even physical existence.
"Ivanishvili is an oligarch for whom money is the guarantee, essence, and purpose of his political, social, and physical survival. If he fears anything, it is losing access to financial resources; if he knows how to control anything, it is through money; if he has sacrificed everything, including the country, for something, it is the frozen assets in Switzerland.
To everyone—subordinates, those compromised in various ways, and supporters—they kept promising that he would 'fix it.' He couldn't fix it! He is losing what matters most to him—money!" writes Nika Melia on social media.
