Salome Zurabishvili: I will leave from here and be with you. I carry legitimacy with me

According to the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, she will leave the Orbelians' Palace.

"I will leave from here and be with you," said the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, addressing the citizens gathered at the Orbelians' Palace.

Zurabishvili stated that she remains loyal to the Georgian people.

"First of all, I want to thank everyone for coming here today because today we stand here, over there is emptiness, here is society, and over there they are locked up. We are outside because we are not afraid of anything, not even bars. I want to tell you and report to you — six years ago I took an oath on the constitution, but even more on my loyalty to the country and to you, so I am here today, and this loyalty will not change. Whether I am in the palace or outside the palace, I will be with you. I will leave from here and be with you.

I carry legitimacy with me, I carry the flag with me, I carry what is your trust with me. This palace should be returned to the Orbelians. It belongs to them, it was taken from them, and it will always be theirs," said Zurabishvili.

As Zurabishvili emphasized, legitimacy comes from the people, and that is why she will be with them.

"I want us to reflect together on what legitimacy means — legitimacy comes from only one source, and that source is you. Where there is no trust from the people, there can be no legitimacy, and that is why I will go out and be with you," Zurabishvili concluded.
