Giorgi Vashadze: Our struggle continues and will end in victory. The process in parliament, however, is a circus, a fake ceremony held behind closed doors

The struggle continues and will certainly end in victory. There may be differing opinions regarding today's decision, but we will continue this fight, said Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the "Strategy Agmashenebeli" party, in an interview with Interpressnews.

He further stated that, ultimately, the Georgian people will win this battle.

"We believe it is crucial for the protest to continue. That is the most important thing. Additionally, traveling in the regions and increasing contact with the people is, of course, important. Also, our support for Western partnership is significant. We can see that the protest is having an impact, leading to sanctions and other steps. Ultimately, I believe we will reach victory."

Regarding Salome Zurabishvili's departure from the Orbeliani Palace, Vashadze said it is her decision, and he had stated from the beginning that the decision would be accepted.

He also commented on the inauguration process of the president elected by the electoral college in the Georgian Parliament, calling it a "circus."

"The ongoing processes in the Georgian Parliament are a circus. It's a fake ceremony held behind closed doors, which has no legitimate power," Vashadze concluded.
