It is time for the Georgian government to restore public trust – consider the possibility of new elections, writes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Kaspar Veldkamp, on social media.

"It is time for the Georgian government to restore public trust in democratic institutions, implement the OSCE recommendations, and based on these recommendations, consider the possibility of new elections," he states.

He also welcomes the leadership of Salome Zurabishvili.

"I welcome the leadership of Salome Zurabishvili and her steadfast commitment to Georgia's European path. Georgians have been peacefully defending their democratic and European future in the streets for a month, despite violence and intimidation," writes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands on platform X.
