Natia Mezvrishvili: For the regime, New Year does not exist; even at this moment, dozens of public servants are being dismissed for expressing differing opinions. Such large-scale repression against officials has never been seen before

"For the regime, New Year does not exist; even at this moment, dozens of public servants are being dismissed," wrote Natia Mezvrishvili, Deputy Chairperson of the For Georgia party, on her Facebook page.

According to her, the time is approaching for businesses to stand with public servants and, along with demanding the release of prisoners, call for the reinstatement of dismissed employees.

"‘Georgian Dream’ has broken records in this regard as well. Never before have we seen repression of this scale against officials for holding different opinions—especially for defending the Constitution. They are, in fact, shooting themselves in the foot because they are dismantling the backbone of the state. The more they dismiss, the faster they will collapse.

Now is the time for businesses to stand by public servants and, along with the demand for the release of prisoners, insist on their reinstatement. Ivanishvili will try to carry out all his dark plans during the New Year holidays. Therefore, we must remain vigilant," Mezvrishvili wrote on Facebook.
