Joe Wilson: The Ivanishvili regime must not be given even the semblance of legitimacy

The Ivanishvili regime must not be given even the semblance of legitimacy, - Congressman Joe Wilson, Chairman of the US Helsinki Commission, said in response to the decision of the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pia Kauma, to postpone her planned visit to Georgia.

“I am grateful to OSCE PA President Pia Kauma for this decision. The Ivanishvili regime must not be given even the semblance of legitimacy. Georgia needs free and fair elections!” – he tweeted.

“Following discussions and after close consideration, I've decided to postpone visiting Georgia until a time that the OSCE PA’s engagement would be most effective. We remain ready to listen to all voices and offer assistance in implementing election recommendations”, Pia Kauma tweeted earlier.
