Zviad Tsetskhladze's father: The judge decided to suffocate the defendants in a small room, along with the guards, the police, and the relatives of the defendants – I have never heard or seen such shamelessness in my life

The father of Zviad Tsetskhladze, who was arrested during the protest, Zurab Tsetskhladze, made the following statement to the media at the courthouse:

"The judge decided to suffocate the defendants, the guards, the police, and the defendants' relatives in one small room. I have never heard or seen such shamelessness in my life. I can tell you directly that there is no longer a court in Georgia today; it is dead! The court is at the bottom. Judge Khuskivadze is below the bottom, he is a soulless, cold, dead person, just like the justice in this country. This kind of precedent has never been seen on Earth. The judge decided to suffocate the defendants, the guards, the police, and the defendants' relatives in one small room. I have never heard or seen such shamelessness in my life. The only thing they need is to create a so-called 'troika' and execute people in rooms, stairwells, and so on.

These people, this country, this regime will definitely face the appropriate response for what they are doing to their own population. They weren’t chanting 'Revolution' for nothing today. They will do this and lead the country to the point where there will be a revolution, they will execute and destroy the people of Georgia, and only 'Georgian Dream,' Bidzina Ivanishvili, and his small gang will remain, which is ruling the country in an inhuman manner today."

For reference, three of the detainees – Zviad Tsetskhladze, Vepkhia Kasradze, and Vasil Kadzelashvili – are accused of organizing and leading group violence. They face 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.

Five of the detainees – Giorgi Gorgadze, Irakli Miminoshvili, Insaf Aliyev, Tornike Goshadze, and Nikoloz Javakhishvili – are accused of participating in group violence. They face 4 to 6 years of imprisonment.
