The Chairman of the Estonian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Marko Mihkelson, responded to a social media post by Michael Roth, Chairman of the German Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, in which Roth emphasized that all political prisoners in Georgia must be released.

"Fully agree, dear friend Michael Roth. Additionally, Georgian people should reclaim their European future through new free and fair elections," Mihkelson wrote.

For context, Michael Roth had written on X that Ivanishvili's regime must release all political prisoners. "An authoritarian regime like the one in Georgia, which tries to silence the opposition and critical voices through imprisonment, will lose sooner or later. Mr. Ivanishvili, release all political prisoners now!" Roth wrote.
