An agreement has virtually been reached. We have common positions, it needs to be given ab appropriate form and the document will be finally prepared in two days, - Levan Bezhashvili, one of the leaders of the Unity - National Movement said after a meeting with the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
According to Bezhashvili, Georgian Dream will have to call new elections, because it will not be able to last long against the backdrop of international isolation and public protests.
"Today's meeting outlined the main positions that are important for future election procedures. We are all sure that elections will definitely be held and that this demand will definitely be fulfilled by Georgian Dream, because this regime cannot last for a long time in conditions of isolation and public protest, therefore it is important for us to have prepared demands regarding election procedures.
First, this is a change in the election administration, it is also important to form a technical government, because it is impossible for sanctioned ministers and government members to conduct elections.
Formation of electoral lists and all issues related to the observance of secrecy and other constitutional principles are also important.
In this regard, an agreement has virtually been reached. We have common positions, this should be given an appropriate form and this document will be finally prepared in these two days," said Levan Bezhashvili.
