The leaders of the Strong Georgia coalition, Mamuka Khazaradze, Badri Japaridze and Grigol Gegelia, who are on an official visit to the United States, met with Senator Roger Vickers, - Strong Georgia reports.
According to Mamuka Khazaradze, the senator expresses support for the protests taking place in Georgia.
“The United States administration and our friendly senators, led by Mr. Roger, express quite serious support for the process taking place in Georgia. This means the protests, which have taken a continuous form, and the people who are standing on the streets. In the near future, we should expect quite interesting surprises for Georgian Dream and, in particular, for Bidzina Ivanishvili. The United States stands by Georgia and we will definitely achieve new elections and we will definitely free political prisoners!
There will be pressure for Georgia to regain its position in the Euro-Atlantic direction, to hold new and free elections, we will achieve this with very serious pressure from the US. We will see this in the near future. These steps will be taken after the inauguration," Khazaradze said.
Earlier, the politicians met with Congressmen Dina Titus, Carol Miller and Ronald Estes.
According to Badri Japaridze, "We are once again convinced that support for the Georgian people is bipartisan."
According to Grigol Gegelia, Strong Georgia continues its meetings in the States and after the senators and congressmen, they will hold meetings at the Department of State.
