Mamuka Khazaradze: The United States is a firm ally and friend – After new elections, we will restore strategic partnership

"Today is a historic day for the United States and especially significant for the rest of the world, including Georgia. We are aware of Washington's stance towards Ivanishvili's Russian, illegitimate government," wrote Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of Strong Georgia, on social media.

Khazaradze emphasized that after new elections in Georgia, the country will "inevitably restore its strategic partnership with the United States."

"Donald Trump officially assumed the duties of the 47th President of the United States today and announced a golden era for America.

Today is a historic day for the United States and particularly important for the rest of the world, including Georgia.

We already know Washington's stance towards Ivanishvili's Russian, illegitimate government, which has been repeatedly voiced and confirmed by officials during our meetings.

However, what is most important is the new administration's position and attitude toward the Georgian people. We know that the United States is a firm ally and friend on our path of democratic development, freedom, and Euro-Atlantic integration.

After new elections, we will inevitably restore our strategic partnership with the United States!

A strong America means a strong Georgia!" Khazaradze wrote.
