Salome Zurabishvili to Mzia Amaglobeli: You are not alone in this historic struggle for Georgia's freedom

The fifth president of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has expressed her support for Mzia Amaglobeli, the founder of "Batumelebi" and "Netgazeti".

"Mzia Amaglobeli, you are not alone in this historic struggle for Georgia's freedom," Salome Zurabishvili wrote on the social platform X.

It is worth noting that the Batumi City Court has placed Mzia Amaglobeli in pre-trial detention as a preventive measure. The decision was made by Judge Nino Sakhelashvili.

Mzia Amaglobeli has been charged under Article 353^1 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to assaulting a police officer. She was initially arrested administratively during a protest near the Batumi Police Main Department, but was released after approximately two hours. Shortly after her release, she was detained again near the department.
