Every day, we see how, like in Russia, the number of prisoners of conscience and the number of people fighting for the future of Georgia is growing. Mzia Amaglobeli is a prisoner of conscience and she is in prison only because Ivanishvili intimidates the media, media representatives, so that the public cannot receive accurate, reliable information, - said Tamar Kordzaia, leader of the United National Movement, at a joint briefing of opposition female politicians at the Government Chancellery.
The politicians demanded the release of media manager Mzia Amaglobeli.
“You now see the inscription behind me - the government of Georgia, but in reality it should be written the government of Russia, because every day, we see how, like in Russia, the number of prisoners of conscience is growing and the number of people fighting for the future of Georgia is growing in prison. Today, we would like to especially highlight prisoner of conscience Mzia Amaglobeli, who is the number one female media manager prisoner of conscience of this regime.
Mzia Amaglobeli is a victim of persecution precisely because each of you, the media representatives, is intimidated and does not dare to speak about the criminal activities of Ivanishvili and his government. Mzia Amaglobeli is a model prisoner precisely because the media cannot speak out and, accordingly, the society cannot receive accurate, correct and reliable information. Mzia Amaglobeli has been on hunger strike for the twelfth day and this is already an alarming period for her health, therefore we, female politicians, categorically demand that the Prosecutor General's Office intervene with the court and change the detention request, otherwise, in the event of poor conduct of the processes, full responsibility will be borne by the people in the building of the Russian government, Ivanishvili, the Prosecutor General and all the people who are involved in this process," Tamar Kordzaia said.
