Irakli Kobakhidze: Representatives of the pseudo-elite are trying to organize certain revolutionary processes, but this too is doomed to failure

Revolutionary trainings were held for representatives of the so-called creative sphere, and we see the results of this today. Representatives of the pseudo-elite are trying to organize certain revolutionary processes, but this too is doomed to failure, - this is how the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, responded to the protest manifesto of actors and directors held near the New Theater.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the "canvas" revolution will not happen in Georgia and calls on everyone to "focus on their own profession".

"In Georgia, there have been 4 attempts at revolution in recent years. Sometimes they tried is through parties, sometimes through NGOs, sometimes through journalists - we are talking about media managers, representatives of opposition media outlets. They tried to organize a revolution by all means, but they failed. And now there is an attempt at a "canvas" revolution. The so-called revolutionary trainings were held for representatives of the creative sphere, and we see the results of this today. Representatives of the pseudo-elite are trying to organize certain revolutionary processes, but this is also doomed to failure. The “canvas” revolution will not happen in Georgia and everyone should focus on their profession. We will help and support everyone in carrying out their professional activities, regardless of their political views,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.

He also spoke about the opposition and stated that they do not have the support of people, which is why they cannot implement their plans

The Prime Minister called on the opposition to “try their luck and prepare for the 2028 elections” in this year’s local elections.

“In reality, the opposition does not have the support of people, and this is the main reason why they cannot implement any of their plans. They do not even appear at the rallies they organize. We remember the main pre-election event that was held on Freedom Square and the opposition leaders failed to appear there either.

Even now, there are protest rallies organized by them and they fail to appear there either. The opposition is so discredited that, of course, their plan is not destined to be implemented. This is, first of all, the result of the fact that the radical opposition does not have the support of people. They claim that they have won the elections and at the same time they are ashamed to appear before people, you see how absurd the opposition has become.

We know what their demands are - these are early elections, I want to remind everyone that elections in Georgia will be held in October 2028. I advise everyone to prepare for the elections in October 2028. Before that, the local elections will be held in October of this year and they may try their luck there too,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
