Georgia's fifth president, Salome Zurabishvili, met with young people, activists, and representatives of the non-governmental sector in Poti.
In the social space "Limena," local residents hosted Salome Zurabishvili and informed her about cases of pressure, intimidation, and harassment during the protest in Poti. According to them, the goal of these actions is to instill fear in society and suppress the protest.
Salome Zurabishvili stated that the main weapon of protest in the country is the society itself, the unity of the people, support, solidarity, and spiritual determination.
She also emphasized that it is important that the protest is spreading across the entire country, with all regions of Georgia participating, which is highly commendable, as we know that activism is more difficult in smaller cities.
"I stand by your side, I am with you, and we will be together until the end!" – said the president.
