Salome Zurabishvili: Mzia Amaglobeli has become the face of the Georgian people's protest

Mzia Amaglobeli has become the face of the Georgian people's protest, - this is what the fifth president of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, writes on the social platform X.

"Georgia more than ever needs its friends to defend its independence, statehood and European democratic future. Mzia Amaglobeli has become the face of Georgian people’s protest and faith in tomorrow’s freedom," writes Salome Zurabishvili.

Salome Zurabishvili responded to the joint statement released by European politicians calling for the release of Mzia Amaglobeli.

"We, the friends of Georgia, demand the immediate release of journalist Mzia Amaglobeli and the many political prisoners who are currently imprisoned as a result of the terrorist crackdown against democracy, human rights, and Georgia's Euro-Atlantic future, which has been going on for 69 days and has noticeably worsened in recent days," the statement reads.
