Mamuka Khazaradze: Gakharia's party must make a decision very quickly - remaining in this parliament means doing Russian business with Bidzina Ivanishvili's "Russian government"
By adopting draconian laws and introducing a mechanism to control the media, Ivanishvili is already establishing a dictatorship in the country - it is important for the Gakharia for Georgia party to make a decision, and prolonging time here because of immunity and funding is absolutely irrelevant, unfair and biased, - Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of the Strong Georgia coalition, said during a special address.
According to him, Georgian Dream has set the country back over the past three months, and now he calls the Gakharia for Georgia party to give up their parliamentary mandates, because remaining in parliament means “doing business with Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Russian government, doing Russian business.”
“After stealing the elections on October 26 to this day, Ivanishvili’s illegitimate, “Russian government” has put the country in existential danger. I would like to remind you of what has happened in the last 3 months - the process of Georgia's accession to the European Union was unconstitutionally suspended, the strategic partnership with the United States was terminated, police terror began, as a result of which we received more than 400 injured peaceful demonstrators and 500 political prisoners, the first persons of the illegitimate government are sanctioned by the United States, Great Britain and Europe. The sanctioning process is still ongoing. The unrecognized Georgian Dream left the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, thereby once again rejecting the country's European future. With the adopted draconian laws, and introducing a mechanism for controlling the media, Ivanishvili is already establishing a dictatorship in the country. We see hotels empty of tourists, the private sector is in a difficult situation, and in the near future we will face a rather serious economic crisis.
Nevertheless, the Georgian people stand firmly on the guard of those values and worths that are called freedom. And for this we see a relentless struggle on the streets of our country.
Now it is important that just as the international community has isolated the illegitimate government, we too should leave them alone, leave them legally - in isolation”, said Khazaradze.
