Guram Macharashvili: A lot will change at the legislative level regarding foreign ambassadors!

The role that the regent and the second secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party played in Georgia back in the day, some foreign ambassadors have played an even worse role. A lot will change at both the legislative and practical levels regarding ambassadors! - This was stated by Guram Macharashvili, a member of the "People's Power" party, in response to the current status of the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.

According to Macharashvili, “Ambassadors were funded by USAID in various countries to dictate the rules of the game on the ground and interfere in politics.”

“In recent years, we have seen that ambassadors are no longer fulfilling the role of diplomats but rather the role of foreign power representatives. Unfortunately, the concept of diplomacy has disappeared. Many ambassadors have lost their diplomatic function in Georgia. Many ambassadors considered themselves the primary authority, directly giving orders to the government and having the audacity to speak on behalf of the Georgian people! We hope that diplomacy will return to diplomacy, and ambassadors will carry out their diplomatic duties. There will be legislation that will help both the development of diplomacy and the maintenance of security in Georgia. An ambassador is sent to deepen relations with the state and society, to improve them, not to dictate to the government and insult the people. Georgia is not a country that serves as a breeding ground for radicalism.

Ambassadors were funded by USAID in various countries to dictate the rules of the game on the ground and interfere in politics. If they don't believe us, they should believe the US President and the US Secretary of State, who said that the money from USAID was spent on interfering in the politics of other countries and organizing revolutions. This is what we have been saying! This is what Shalva Papuashvili said, who directly requested in meetings that the transfer of funds for revolutions be stopped. Yes, billions were spent from USAID in foreign countries, including Georgia, for organizing revolutionary scenarios. What we were saying has been fully confirmed!

The money from USAID was used for the illegal change of governments, for the second front, and for legalizing same-sex marriages, in which they used their agents," said Guram Macharashvili.
