Nino Lomjaria: Tomorrow, we will march from Europe Square to Freedom Square to reject Russian authoritarianism, support political prisoners of the regime, and show the world our unity

"Tomorrow, we will march from Europe Square to Freedom Square to reject Russian authoritarianism, support political prisoners of the regime, stand by each other, and show the world our unity and resistance to dictatorial laws," said Nino Lomjaria, founder of the civil platform "Georgia’s European Orbit," while speaking about the protest scheduled for February 15.

According to Lomjaria, "Georgian Dream" unilaterally and in an expedited manner adopted unconstitutional amendments.

"As you know, over the past few weeks, 'Georgian Dream' has unilaterally and hastily passed unconstitutional amendments to the 'Law on Freedom of Speech and Expression' and the Administrative Offenses Code. In reality, these changes significantly restrict the right to assembly and expression. However, this will not intimidate us because the purpose of these actions is terror—to instill fear in society so that people refrain from exercising their constitutionally and internationally recognized rights. That is why unity, solidarity, and determination are crucial.

Tomorrow, we will march from Europe Square to Freedom Square to reject Russian authoritarianism, support political prisoners of the regime, stand by each other, and show the world our unity, solidarity, and resistance to dictatorial laws," Lomjaria stated.

For reference, a protest is planned in the capital on February 15, with the participation of civil groups, NGOs, and citizens. The demonstration will begin at 6:00 PM at Europe Square, and participants will march toward Freedom Square.
