We supported the American resolution, which was prepared without any interference from the “Deep State”, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to him, the Georgian Dream government supports the peace plan of the United States government and hopes that this plan will be successful very soon.

“Over the past three years, we have joined more than 600 documents, including resolutions adopted in various international formats, which condemned Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine, which supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Our position in this regard remains unwavering. We joined the resolution prepared by the United States, which is also supportive of Ukraine.

We support the peace plan of the United States government and hope that this plan will be successful very soon. It is important for us to join the resolution of the entity that is aimed at peace, not at prolonging the war," Kobakhidze said.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the US resolution calls for a quick end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. It consists of three points, "demands a quick end to the conflict" and mourns "the tragic loss of life in the Russia-Ukraine conflict." However, according to The Wall Street Journal, the US resolution does not indicate who started the war and does not include specific demands towards the Kremlin.

"It has one co-sponsor - the Georgian government, whose ties with Moscow have recently warmed up," The Wall Street Journal reports.
